Services for Ralph Franklin Powell will be held Wednesday March 19 2003 at 11:00 a.m. at Shelton Funeral Home in Trenton. Mr. Powell died Monday at Gibson General Hospital. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church Trenton where he was Elder Emeritus. He was a retired Supervisor for Trenton Mills Inc. He was the son of the late Ralph and Annie Lou McDougald Powell. He was married for 62 years to the late Wilma Freeman Powell. He is survived by two daughters Bettie Powell of Trenton and Carol Pulliam and her husband Tom of Nashville; four granddaughters Amy Carroll and husband Kevin of Franklin; Claire Tuma and husband Bob of Murfreesboro Mary Ellen Pulliam and Emily Falls and husband Travis of Nashville six great-grandchildren Hannah Maggie and Emma Kate Carroll Caroline and Anna Claire Tuma and Jake Falls. He also leaves two sisters Mrs. Sara Cleek Alamo and Mrs. Evelyn Shivers Somerville. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
