Viewing-visitation is 3-7:30 p.m. Wednesday (tomorrow) at TILLMAN OF TALLAHASSEE (850) 942-1950. A native of Tallahassee, Mrs. Smith was a retired housekeeper. She was a member of Shady Grove Primitive Baptist Church No. 2. and the Sons and Daughters of Joshua Lodge No 2. Cherishing her love and legacy are her daughters, Maria (Bobby) Tucker and children, D'Juan (LaRhonda) Johnson, Sr., and Terence Johnson; Sophia Foster and children, Shantia James and Mashayla Horne; Nathaniel Ford and children, Nathaniel, Dewayne and Michael Ford and Stacey Moore; sisters, Mary F. White, Betty F. Williams, Martha F. (Frank) Lamb, Lillie F. Jackson and Jacqueline Ford; brothers, Arthur, York Jr. (Valerie), James (Melody) and Joseph (Tracey) Ford; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.Her husband, Freddie Lee Smith, Sr.; parents, York Sr. and Lilla Brown Ford; and siblings, Frank and Betty Ford, all predeceased her.
