SMITH, RUTH I., 86, of Melbourne, FL passed away on Wednesday, December 29th. She was an elder in the Community of Christ Church, past president of the Florida chapter and long-standing member of Delta Kappa Gamma. She was a graduate of Toledo University where she received both her Bachelor's and Masters' Degrees in Education. She spent her entire Educational career with the Lucas County school system in Toledo, OH. Her loving husband of 49 years, Paul R. Smith and daughter, Marcia Stuart, precede her in death. Survivors include her daughter, Sandra (Roger) Sevigny; grandchildren, Mindy (Jerry) Boehm, Sheri (Keith) Floto, Robbie (Skip) Hammock, Heather (Donald) Baker; eight great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. There will be a visitation Sunday January 2nd, 2005 from 5PM-8PM at CAREY HAND COX-PARKER FUNERAL HOME, 1350 W. Fairbanks Avenue, Winter Park, FL (407) 647-1942. The funeral service will be Monday, January 3rd at 2PM in the funeral home chapel. Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the Delta Kappa Gamma Scholarship Fund, Outreach International or Brevard Hospice.
