Obituary of Ruth-Aytes Lee


LEE, MRS. RUTH AYTES - age 93, departed this life on May 15, 2014. She was a devoted Christian wife and mother who loved the Lord and loved attending Bethel Grace Free Will Baptist Church until her health prevented her from going. She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Clarence Lee; and her grandson, Ross Barnett. She is survived by her son, Ivan Lee and wife Valarie of Lancing; daughters, Juanita Jean Adams and husband Dennis of Crossville, and Marjorie Barnett and husband Nolen of Lancing; grandchildren, Eugene Adams, Krista Lammel, Samuel Lee, Amanda Lee and Ricky Barnett; she has nine great grandchildren, including one special great granddaughter, Carol Barnett, who has been a companion and helped with her care during her illness; one sister, Roberta Wampler of Kingston; and sisters-in-law, Mable Lee, Jolene Aytes, and Ina Heidel. Pallbearers are grandsons: Ricky Barnett, Eugene Adams, Samuel Lee, Marshell Lamme, and nephews: Gary Aytes and William David Aytes. The family will receive friends Saturday, May 17, 2014, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Schubert Funeral Home, Wartburg. Funeral services will follow at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. Rick Taylor and Rev. Doyle Nance officiating. Graveside services will be Sunday, May 18, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in the Frankfort Cemetery, Lancing, TN. Online condolences can be made at www.schubertfuneralhome.com.
