Smith a resident of Montgomery, Alabama took her heavenlyflight on Thursday, December3, 2009 from a local hospital.Mrs. Davis was a dedicatedChristian worker, faithfulmember of the Beulah Primitive Baptist Church and member of Charter Oak Court No.209 Order of the Eastern Star. Eulogistic services will be heldon Saturday, December 12,2009 at 11:00 a.m. at BeulahPrimitive Baptist Church, ElderTom Gardner, III, officiating.Interment will be at BeulahPrimitive Baptist Church Cemetery, Hope Hull, Alabama,Phillips-Riley Funeral Home directing. Mrs. Davis was preceded indeath by her parents WilliamHenry and Jessie Mae Smith;her husband Willie Frank Davis; sister Jessie Mae Boyd ;brother James Henry Smith;step-daughter Mary A Thomas, and son- in-law AlexHolmes. Her survivors include ninestep-children, Willa M. (Ned)Gadson, Frank (Mary) Davis,Jeanette (Carl) Turner, HenryCedric (Bridgette) Davis, all ofMontgomery; Barbara Davis,Yvonne Holmes, Craig L. (Lorraine) Davis and Gi Gi (Germini) Akinwunmi all of Tuscaloosa and Roy C. (Louise) ofPrattville, Alabama; threebrothers David Smith, GeorgeSmith (Paulet) both of Montgomery, Samuel Smith(Karen) of Trenton, New Jersey; four devoted sisters MaryBell Speer, Yvonne Stokesand Alice S. Gooden all ofMontgomery and Stella(Roosevelt) Patterson of Miami, Florida; five sisters in-law,Lucy Steele, Wilhelmina Smith,Paulet Smith all of Montgomery, Johnnie Lee Johnson ofBirmingham, and Karen Smithof Trenton, New Jersey, twentygrandchildren, ten greatgrandchildren, a dedicatedGod-child, Mary Ann Merritt,Montgomery, a host ofnieces, nephews, cousinsand friends.
