Psalm 34:1-3After 99 years of worshipping and serving God on this earth, Ruby Elma Thomas went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on May 18, 2011. We will miss her greatly, but she leaves an incredible legacy.She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, her loving husband of 66 years, Johnnie J. Thomas, and her oldest daughter, Gayle Nicholson (Frank).She is survived by her daughter Jonna Daniels (Mike) of Leeds, Ala.; six grandchildren, Ben Nicholson of Pompano Beach, Fla., Hannah Finn, Rebecca Smith (Donie), and Thomas Nicholson, all of Houston, Texas, Crysta Trull (Michael) of Sylacauga, Ala., and Joshua Daniels (Crystal) of Leeds, Ala.; seven great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.Visitation will be today, May 20, 2011, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Ridout's Elmwood Chapel in Birmingham. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, May 21, 2011, at Lowerytown Baptist Church in West Blocton, Ala., with visitation one hour prior to service at the church. Burial will follow at Kinard Cemetery with Ridout's Elmwood Chapel directing.
