THOMAS, RUBY ELMA age 99, of Birmingham, AL, passed away on Wednesday May 18, 2011. I will praise the Lord at all times. I will constantly speak His praises-let us exalt His name together. Psalm 34:1-3 After 99 years of worshipping and serving God on this earth, Ruby Elma Thomas went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on May 18, 2011. We will miss her greatly, but she leaves an incredible legacy. She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, her loving husband of 66 years, Johnnie J. Thomas, and her oldest daughter, Gayle Nicholson (Frank). She is survived by her daughter Jonna Daniels (Mike) of Leeds, AL; six grandchildren, Ben Nicholson of Pompano Beach, FL, Hannah Finn, Rebecca Smith (Donie), and Thomas Nicholson all of Houston, TX, Crysta Trull (Michael) of Sylacauga, AL and Joshua Daniels (Crystal) of Leeds, AL; seven great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Friday, May 20, 2011 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Ridout's Elmwood Chapel, Birmingham, AL. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 21, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Lowerytown Baptist Church, West Blocton, AL, with visitation at one hour prior to service. Burial will follow at Kinard Cemetery. >
