Rose A. Meyer, 79, died Monday evening, April 11, 2011 at her home, surrounded by her family. Born and educated in Schenectady, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Minnie (Zannitto) Corini, and a graduate of Mont Pleasant High School. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Rose worked for the Shenendehowa School District as a bus driver for over 25 years. Beside her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Louis Corini; and a sister, Nora Mannato. Rose is survived by her husband of 56 years, Richard H. Meyer; her children, Jeff Meyer (Bernadette) of Brattleboro, VT, James Meyer (Aei) of Pattersonville, Richard Meyer (Tammy) of Pattersonville and Patricia Zepperi (Henry) of Schenectady; a sister, Helen DiDonato of Schenectady; eight granddaughters, two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Friday afternoon, April 15, 2011 at 1 p.m. at Bond Funeral Home, Broadway and Guilderland Ave., Schenectady. Interment to follow at 3 p.m. at Saratoga National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to Community Hospice, 1411 Union Street, Schenectady, NY 12308.
