Rosalie Swain Thomas was born April 17, 1933 to the late William and Queenie Phelps-Swain. She was the loving wife of Richard Thomas Sr. A lifelong Mount Vernon resident, Rosalie worked as a machinist sorter for Salesian Mission in New Rochelle, NY. She was a dedicated member of Allen Memorial C.O.G.I.C. Rosalie was called from labor to reward on Friday, April 21, 2006. She leaves to cherish her memory: beloved children: Carolyn (Shawn) Harris, Loretta Thomas, Gregory (Pamela) Thomas, Randy Thomas and Rodney (Elisa) Thomas; loving siblings: Eva Patrick, Jeanette Crews, Queen Mae Bess, Roosevelt Swain, Larry Swain and Rudolph Swain; one godchild, 20 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. She now joins her parents, husband, children: Ronald Thomas, Lorenzo Thomas, Theresa Gaye and Brenda Thomas and siblings: William Swain Jr., Dorothy Moore, Helen Swain, Minnie Lewis and Cecil Swain. The family will receive friends from 2 pm until 4 pm and 7 pm until 9 pm Wednesday, April 26, 2006 at CAMELOT FUNERAL HOME, INC. Homegoing Service will begin at 11 am Thursday, April 27 at Allen Memorial C.O.G.I.C., 32 Crary Avenue, Mt. Vernon, NY. Interment to follow at Beechwoods Cemetery in New Rochelle, NY.
