Robert W. Johnson, age 82, passed away on June 28, 2011. Beloved husband of the late Jean Banger Johnson and father to Valerie Johnson-Pandina (Rob), Karen Rossett (Anthony) and Gary Johnson (Linda). Proud grandfather of Mark Johnson (Allyn), Staci Johnson and Matthew Rossett and great grandfather to newborn Brandon Johnson. He also leaves behind a host of relatives and friends. Bob graduated from Penns Grove High School and was retired from IBM after 36 years. He lived in Deptford since 1956. He was instrumental in the founding of the Deptford Township Soccer Association and the Oak Valley Athletic Association. Bob enjoyed fishing, home improvement projects, traveling and flying his model airplanes. He taught us the value of hard work, personal responsibility, civic-mindedness, and the beauty of the outdoors. His presence will be sorely missed by his family and friends. Relatives and friends may visit with the family 9 to 11 AM Saturday, July 2nd at SMITH FUNERAL HOME 47 Main St., Mantua, NJ where funeral services will be held at 11 AM. Interment will be in Eglington Cemetery, Clarksboro, NJ.
