Funeral services for Robert Lee Jenkins, Sr., 69, will be Saturday, June 30 at 2:00 p.m. at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church. Bishop David Norwood will officiate. Interment will be in Lebanon Cemetery. The body will lie in state at the church one hour prior to service. Mr. Jenkins passed away June 24 in Indiana. He was preceded in death by his father, William Jenkins; a brother; and a great grandson, Anthony Battle. Robert attended Faith Whole Truth #1 in Talladega; attended Talladega County Schools; worked as a carpenter. Survivors are his daughters, Sandra (Albert) Hall and Teresa (Joel) Philips of Talladega, and Linda Beavers; sons, Sammy Jenkins of Talladega and Robert (JoAnn) Jenkins, Jr. of Alpine; mother, Isabella Jenkins of Munford; a brother, William (Jessie) Jenkins of Indianapolis, IN; sisters, Marie Whiteside of Indianapolis, IN and Evelyna Cross of Munford; fifteen grandchildren and eighteen grandchildren.
