JOHNSON, ROBERT HERMAN, 80Ocala - Robert Herman Johnson, 80, of Ocala, passed away July 6th, 2012. Born in Rushylvania, Ohio, he came to this area 22 years ago from Mansfield, Ohio. Mr. Johnson was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War and was retired from the Columbia Gas Transmission Company of Ohio. He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church of Ocala and was also trained as a gunsmith. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Bonnie; sons, Gary Johnson of Indianapolis, IN and Glenn Johnson of Zephyrhills, FL; daughter, Cheryl Almond of Valrico, FL; sister, Lavonne Diaspro of Dayton, OH; brother, Philip Johnson of Centerville, OH; grandchildren, Renee' Mills, Katie Almond, Jacob Johnson, Ericka Johnson, Josh Johnson, Kara Johnson and Marisa Buckley. He was preceded in death by his brother, Carl Johnson. A memorial service will be held at Trinity Baptist Church (1600 SE 58th Ave., Ocala, 694-2163) on Monday (July 16th) at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made Hospice of Marion County.
