December 11, 2006 Robert H. White, age 75, of Venice, Florida, passed away on December 11, 2006. He was born on October 10, 1931 in Syracuse, New York. He moved to Venice, Florida in 1993 from Binghamton, New York. He was a commercial underwriting manager for INA in Syracuse, New York and partner with Cooper-Ackerman-Sampson in Binghamton, New York. He was a member of the 1947 American Legion State Championship Baseball Team, The Binghamton Club, Binghamton Rotary Club and veteran of the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He is survived by his wife, Caroline White of Venice; children, Nancy McCabe of Armonk, New York, Linda Kloepfer of Guilford, Connecticut, Elaine Patrick of Snell Isle, Florida, Valerie O'Hara French of Binghamton, New York, and Michael O'Hara of McLean, Virginia. He also leaves behind six grandchildren. Visitation will be Thursday, December 14, 2006 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Ewing Funeral Home in Venice. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, December 15, 2006 at 2 p.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Venice. Interment will be in the Resurrection Garden at Our Lady of Lourdes. A Memorial Mass will be held in Binghamton, New York at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the Gulf Coast Diabetes Foundation, 2100 Constitution Blvd., Sarasota, Florida 34231.
