Atty. Robert E. Barrett MILTON Attorney, Robert E. Barrett, died Thursday, April 23 at his home in Milton after a 9 year battle against cancer. He was 63 years old. Born in Boston, he was a 1963 graduate of Boston College High School, Boston College 1967 and Boston College Law School 1970. He entered the U S Army Reserve in 1969 and retired in 2005 as a Lieutenant Colonel. Mr. Barrett passed the Massachusetts Bar in 1970, was sworn in November 1970 and practiced as an assistant Attorney General from 1970 to 1974. He began his own practice in 1976 at Barrett and Barrett Law Offices on Adams Street, Milton. A resident of Milton since 1973, Bob was past president of the Rotary Club of Milton, member of The Milton Hoosic Club where he won the Nye Cup, member of Foxfire Golf Club in Naples FL, a Corporator of Milton Hospital, member of the Weymouth Tennis Club and member of the Massachusetts Bar Association. Beloved husband of Barbara A. (Maguire) Barrett. Father of Barbara D. Daly and her husband James of Holliston, Robert J. Barrett and his wife Marykathleen of Charlestown, and John W. Barrett of New Orleans. Grandfather of Dawn M. Barrett, Jane Daly, Colin Daly and Aidan Daly and Maura Barrett. Brother of Phyllis M. Boulter of Marblehead, William H. Barrett of Holbrook, Claire Gross of Hingham and Paul Barrett of Brockton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Saint Elizabeth Church, Milton, Monday, April 27, at 10:00 a.m. Visiting hours at Dolan Funeral Home, 460 Granite Ave, MILTON, Sunday 3 - 7 p.m. Interment Milton Cemetery.
