Robert B. Henderson - Twin City, GA - Robert B. Henderson, age 80, on Friday, April 21, 2006, at his residence after an extended illness. Funeral services will be held Sunday, April 23rd, at 3:30 p.m. at Twin City United Methodist Church with the Rev Randall Smith and Dr. Wayne MacDonald officiating. Interment will be in the Hebron Church Cemetery in Garfield. The body will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the service. The family will receive friends at Peebles-Curry-Durden Mortuary on Saturday evening from 6-8 p.m. Pallbearers are Ervin Brinson, Wesley Hendley, Billy Walden, Wayne Collins, George Sturgis, and Keith Womack. Mr. Henderson was a native of Twin City, GA and was retired from McLaughlin, Gormley and King Company. He lived in Atlanta, GA, Pensacola, FL and Little Rock, AK before retiring in Twin City in 1989. He attended Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College and received his Bachelor and Master degrees from the University of Georgia. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a member and past president of Twin City Lions Club. He was also a member of Twin City United Methodist Church and Methodist Men's Club. Survivors include: his wife: Grace Hendley Henderson of Twin City, GA; one son, Keith Henderson of Kennesaw, GA; one daughter, Janice Henderson of Twin City, GA; one sister, Virginia Henderson of Appling, GA; one brother, Eugene Henderson of Twin City, GA; four grandsons, Matthew and Chris Henderson and Jason and Jeremy Robins; one granddaughter, Elizabeth Robins.
