On Wednesday, August 19, at Calvary Hospital in Bronx, NY, our beloved husband, father and devoted Christian went home to our Lord. Richard was born on October 20, 1923 in Havelock, North Carolina to the late William Henry Carter and Josephine Dove-Carter. A World War II Veteran, he worked for General Motors in Tarrytown until he retired in 1984. He leaves a devoted wife of 52 years, Cora; two daughters and two sons -in-law: Marge Paradis and her husband Dave of Worcester, MA; Rosalie Jackson and her husband Marc of White Plains; four grandchildren: one great-grandchild; four sisters; three brothers, and, a host of other relatives, loving friends and church family.
