DAVIS, RICHARD MICHAEL 60, Palm Bay, died on August 3, 2004 in Melbourne, FL. Born in Plant City, FL. He taught briefly in Rockledge, FL before completing his 30 year teaching and coaching career in Roxana, IL. He came to Brevard County in 1994 from Roxana. An avid sports fan, Mr. Davis' athletic achievements made him a regular in the local newspapers during a distinguished high school and collegiate career. Survived by his wife, Christine; children, Dawn (Troy) Martin, Darin (Tina) Davis, Daryl (Carol) Davis; stepson David Myers; his grandchildren, Kyle and Christian Martin, Michael Canipe, Christina and Shawnta Moyer, Felecia McGuire, Jeremy and Dylan Davis, Kayla Myers; and great grandchildren, Kassadl Donelson and Anthony Huckabone; sister Doris Barberena; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, six brothers and one sister. Calling hours today from 5-7PM at the Brownlie Maxwell Funeral Home in Melbourne.
