Obituary of Rev. -James-Lewis Ballard

Rev. James Lewis (Jimmie) Ballard left for heaven on Sunday, June 12, 2011 at the age of 83. He is survived by his wife of nearly 60 years, Helen Jennings Ballard. His children, Jann Patterson of Sylacauga, AL, Mike Ballard of Houston, TX, Ken Ballard of Anniston, AL, and Joan Hardin of Anniston, AL also survive him along with 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. He was a member of Church of the Cross (1600 Greenbrier-Dear Road). A memorial service will be held at the church Thursday, June 16 at 6:00 p.m. with visitation at 5:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Church of the Cross Youth Ministry. Chapel Hill Funeral Home will direct.
