CARTER, REV. BILLY DON Rev. Billy Don Carter age 75 of Dora went home to be with the Lord on Sunday April 22, 2012. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War; he pastored several churches in Tennessee, Georgia and Alabama for 52 years. Funeral services will be Wednesday April 25, 2012 at 11:00 am in the New Horizon Memorial Chapel. Rev. Harold Cooper and Rev. Bob Weldon will officiate. Burial will follow in New Horizon Memorial Gardens. Visitation is Tuesday from 6-8 pm at the funeral home. Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Dorothy S. Carter; daughter, Pamela (James) Shell of Knoxville, TN; sons, Ricky (Gail) Carter of Chesterton, IN, Michael (Beth) Carter of Mt. Olive and Gregory (Denise) Carter of Springville; nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
