SMITH, RENE'E H., 53, PUT GOD, FAMILY AND TENNIS AS THE FOCAL POINT OF HER LIFE. Rene'e H. Smith loved her family and tennis so she combined the two by frequently playing tennis with her husband Oren and members of her church family. "Mom was very good at tennis" remarked her son. "She won many trophies and participated in numerous tournaments". Rene'e retired from Bell South in 1998 and also worked part time as a Reserve Deputy Sheriff for Orange County Florida during her career in the communications industry. Rene'e died February 15, 2003 from complications stemming from Cancer. She was 53 at the time of her death. Rene'e was born and raised in Orlando, Florida. That's where she met her husband Oren as they attended Jones High School. "She was always a good athlete in school" states her husband of thirty-five years. "I always admired her abilities and how she found time for her family." She was a loyal friend to everyone and was always available to offer a helping hand if someone was sick or needed assistance. Rene'e is survived by her husband Oren A, Orlando, FL; son, Oren C. and wife Angie of Clermont, FL; mother Gladys Hill, Orlando, FL, Martha West, Orlando, FL; sister, Sandra, Orlando, FL; brothers, Stanley Robinson, Chicago, IL, Steve and Kenneth Hill, Orlando, FL; and two grandchildren, Taylor and Oren A., Clermont, FL. Mitchell's Funeral Home of Orlando is handling the arrangements. Viewing will be conducted on February 21, 2003 between the hours of 4-8PM.
