SMITH, RANDY LEE, 49, a devoted husband and father, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 15, 2004 at 4:10PM. Randy was born on November 11, 1954 in Ashboro, NC. He moved to the Central Florida area in 1972, where he met his loving wife and soulmate, Brenda. They were married 30 years. Randy was an honest and hardworking man. He was also a well known and admired leader in the ceramic tile industry for over 30 years. He believed that a man's word was his bond and took pride in everything he did, whether it be a the job or a Sunday airboat ride. But his ultimate passion was for his family. Survived by wife, Brenda Smith; daughters, April Smith-Lashley and Renee Smith of Mims; granddaughters Ashlynne and Katelynne also of Mims; father, Odell Smith and stepmother Faye Corsby-Smith of Liberty, NC; sisters, Deborah Marie Maness of Thomasville, NC, Vonna Lee Anders of Inman SC; stepfather, Archie Summers of Kinards, SC. Randy was preceded in death by his mother Dora Summers and brother Wayne Smith. He loved and cherished a large family of his own as well as a mom in Ginny Rowe, brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles through his marriage to Brenda. Special guardian angel, Nanny Bocco. Viewing will be held on Friday, June 18, 2004 from 6-9PM at North Brevard Funeral Home. Services will be Saturday, June 19, 2004 at 1PM in the chapel with burial at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. North Brevard Funeral Home in Titusville is in charge of the arrangements.
