Obituary of R. -Lee Bishop


Mr. R. Lee Bishop, age 75, Hackleburg, Ala., passed away Saturday, April 25, 2009, at Helen Keller Hospital. The visitation was Monday, April 27, 2009, at Akins Funeral Home. The 2 p.m. funeral service will be Tuesday, April 28, 2009, at Akins Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Bobby Joe Poss and Brother Steve Lawerance officiating. Interment will be in the Cedar Tree Cemetery.Pallbearers will be Aaron Bishop, Derek Bishop, David Howell, Kenneth Pugh, James Brazell and Shannon Bishop.He was preceded in death by his parents, William Alzie Bishop and Ollie Bradford Bishop; and brother, William Irvin Bishop.He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Mozell Brazell Bishop; daughter, Deborah Glasgow and husband, Eddie; son, Randall Bishop and wife, Sandra; siblings, Ruby Pugh and husband, Judson, Lucion Bishop and wife, Burma, Ella Rae Brown and husband, Marvin, James Hulon Bishop and wife, Fay, Betty Cummings, Wayne Bishop and wife, Marie, Sharon Howell and husband, Jerry, Hilda Elrod and husband, Alton; sister-in-law, Ruby Lee Bishop; grandchildren, Meagen and Meredith Glasgow, Aaron and Derek Bishop; 13 nieces and eight nephews.Akins Funeral Home assisted the family.
