Obituary of Queen-Esther-Patterson Lee


LEE Queen Esther Patterson Lee, age 92, formerly of Barnum Avenue, Bridgeport, entered into eternal rest peacefully, Thursday, July 13, 2006. She was the widow of Presley E. Lee. Queen E. Lee was born October 20, 1913 in Mt. Carmel, S.C., the fourth of seven children of the late Annie Patterson Frazier. She was a resident of Bridgeport since 1943 and was a former member of Holy Tabernacle C.O.G.I.C. under the pastorate of the late Elder William H. Bascome. Attending church and helping others became a very important part of her life. "Queenie" as she was known, held various jobs, but retired from Rappoport Cleaners. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by two brothers, Willie and Ollie Patterson, and two sisters, Mae Belle Hall and Bessie Lee Moore. Mrs. Lee is survived by a sister, Mozell Brown of Philadelphia, Pa.; a brother, James B. Patterson of Bridgeport; several nephews, nieces, cousins, god-children and friends. Funeral services will be held Wednesday 11 am at Morton"s Mortuary, 25 Margaret E. Morton Lane, Bridgeport, with Rev. Rosa Lee Clemons, Pastor of New Beginning Outreach Ministry, officiating. Interment will take place in Park Cemetery. Friends are invited to the viewing Wednesday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
