POGUE Robert David Pogue III, age 20, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, on Tuesday, January 20, 2009, surrounded by family and those who loved him. He courageously battled a rare mitochondrial disorder called Kearns-Sayre Syndrome, and brought inspiration to people all across the world. He passionately embraced life, and while physically able, he found joy in playing soccer, drawing, fishing, and caring for animals. David had a big heart, always expressing concern for others. His favorite place was Disney World. To forever cherish David and his enthusiastic love for life, he has left behind his parents, David and Bridget Pogue; sister Rebecca, brother Daniel, nephew Landon Starr, grandmother Chiyo Yagi Pogue of Okinawa, Japan, and grandparents Mary and Clifford Snavely of Kingston, MA, numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins in Okinawa and the United States. Funeral services will be held at Kernan Boulevard Baptist Church, 4000 Kernan Blvd. South, Jacksonville, FL 32224 on Saturday, Jan 24, 2009 with visitation at 2:00 pm and service at 3:00 pm.
