Phyllis R. Johnson Moore, 83 SOUTH PORTLAND -- Phyllis R. Johnson Moore, 83, of South Portland, passed away on Nov. 18, 2014, at the Barron Center in Portland. Born on Feb. 25, 1931, in Bath, she was the daughter to James and Margaret (Acorn) Adams. Phyllis attended and graduated from South Portland High School and went on to Westbrook College to become an LPN. She worked for Sweetser for ten years before retiring. She was a member of the South Portland Nazarene Church for many years. She loved the Celtics, reading, cats and her two Kerry Blue Dogs. Phyllis was married to Donald Johnson from 1952 until his death in 1988. In 2003 she married Louis Moore. Phyllis was predeceased by husbands, Donald Johnson and Louis Moore; and brother, Edwin Adams. She is survived by son Keith Johnson (and Buffy); niece Vicki Wedge, nephew James Adams; several great-nieces and nephews; and three step-grandsons. Visiting hours are scheduled for Monday, Nov. 24, 2014, from 1 to 2 p.m., at Hobbs Funeral Home, 230 Cottage Rd., South Portland, followed by service at 2 p.m. Burial will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2014, at Pine Tree Cemetery, East Eddington.
