Obituary of Phyllis-Miriam Hodgins


After a courageous battle with cancer, Phyllis Twolan (nee Hodgins) of Norway Bay, Quebec, aged 70 years, passed away peacefully on March 4, 2002 at the Pontiac Community Hospital. She leaves to mourn her devoted husband and best friend of 46 years, Dalton; 4 loving and well loved daughters, Connie (Normand Briault), Valerie (Christopher Graham), Betty Lou (Michael Doucet) and Lisa (Bill Strutt). Cherished grandma of Hilary, Whitney, Jessica, Vanessa, Jeffrey, Philip, Aaron, Liam and Theresa. She is predeceased by her parents Lawrence and Annie Hodgins, brother Grenville (Nat of Regina). Survived by brothers and sisters Lillis (Kenneth Armitage), Mary (late Kenneth Tubman), Byron (Elaine), Fern (Harvey Smith), Shirley (Stan Munro), Basil (Lorraine) and Julia (Bev Cluff) and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the W.J. Hayes & Sons Funeral Home, 134 Centre Street, Shawville, Quebec on Tuesday, March 5, 2002 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Wednesday, March 6 to St. Paul's Anglican Church, Shawville, for Service at 11:00 a.m. Interment Norway Bay United Cemetery. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Pontiac Community Hospital would be appreciated. The Ottawa Citizen, 05-03-2002
