HEMS, Phyllis Mary (nee Ludbrook) - Peacefully passed away at age 86 on August 29, 2011 after a long struggle with Alzheimer's. Wife of Stan Hems, mother of Pat (Bruce) Wilson, Karen (Ray) Eady and Rob (Dianne) Hems, grandmother of Steve, Lisa, Rich, Nikki, Tom and Scott, great-grandma to Hailey, Madison, Oliver and Sam. Many thanks to the staff at Parkview Home in Stouffville for their kindness and care over the past years. A Celebration of Life will be held at Markham District Veterans' Hall, 7 Washington Street, Markham, ON L3P 2R3, on Sunday, September 18, 1:30-4:30 p.m. All friends are welcome to drop by.
