Phyllis M. Brooks 90, Port Charlotte, died May 26, 2006. She was born July 13, 1915, in London and came to Port Charlotte from Fort Lauderdale in 1979. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Joseph; sons Joseph A. Balnius of Columbia Station, Ohio, David C. Brooks of Inverness, Sidney F. Brooks of Port Charlotte, and Peter L. Brooks of Lake Helen; four grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and one great, great-grandchild. Services and burial will be private. Kays-Ponger Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Port Charlotte, Chapel, is in charge.
