SHOEMAKER , Phyllis Hannah 1923 - 2009 Phyllis passed away May 27, 2009 in Calgary at the age of 86. She was born in Olds, Alberta, on January 12, 1923 to John and Katherine Patterson. In July 1944 she married Albert (Ab) Shoemaker and moved to Woodnorth, Manitoba where they resided on the family farm for forty-two years. After Ab's passing in 1988 she lived in Virden for seventeen years before moving to Calgary in 2005. Phyllis is survived by her daughter Sandra (Ron) Hall, grandsons Jason Hall (Simone Lamb) and Darcy Hall, all of Calgary; Grant (Marlain) Shoemaker, grandson Kurt (Catherine) McCullagh; granddaughter Jaylin (Dan) Cormier and four great-grandsons all of Winnipeg; numerous nieces, nephews, and their families. She was predeceased by three sisters, two stepsisters, and a stepbrother. A Memorial Service will be held on June 2, 2009 at 2:30 p.m. at 14441 Bannister Road S.E., Calgary with McInnis and Holloway in charge of arrangements. Interment will take place at a later date in Virden, Manitoba. If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made directly to the Calgary Humane Society (S.P.C.A.), 4455 - 110 Avenue S.E, Calgary, AB. T2C 2T7. (Telephone 403-205-4455).
