Phyllis Evelyn Smith March 24, 1917 March 24, 2004 _ SMITH _ The passing of Phyllis Evelyn Smith, of McCure Place, occurred on her 87th birthday on March 24, 2004. She was predeceased by her husband, Stanley; and her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Laboret. Prior to moving to Saskatoon in 2000, she had been a long time resident of Prince Albert. She is survived by her two daughters, Celine Shearer (Stacey Smith), Saskatoon and Dianne (Barry) Buness, MacDowall; and son, Tedd (Barbara) Smith of Oakville, ON; grandchildren, Andrew Shearer (Carolyn Brooks), Saskatoon, Kevin Shearer (Susan Giesen), Calgary, Kristen (David) Dalzell, Michael Buness, MacDowall, Lauren Buness, Saskatoon, Debbie (Rick) Dent, James Smith, Oakville, ON; and great-grandchildren, Kyle and Brittany Dent, Oakville, Eric Shearer, Calgary and Robbie and Ben Carey, Saskatoon; sisters, Pauline (Bob) Gourlay, Mississauga, ON and Kay Caboche, Prince Albert; plus several nieces and nephews. A celebration of Phyl's life will be held Monday, March 29, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. from McClure United Church with Joan Brown and Kent Mohn officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations in Phyl's memory would be appreciated to her current pet project "the McClure Place Assisted Living Project " in care of McClure Place Foundation, 1825 McKercher Drive, Saskatoon, SK, S7H 5N5. Arrangements entrusted to Bob Tait, PRAIRIE VIEW CHAPEL & CREMATORIUM, 242-7884.
