Phyllis Ellen Alexander, 69, died June 14, 2007, at the VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach. She was born in Woodstock, Ill., and moved to Vero Beach in 1989 from Saratoga, Calif. Before retirement, she owned the End Result Beauty Shop in Saratoga and worked for the Twig Swim and Sportswear Shop in Vero Beach. Survivors include her husband of 35 years, Phil W. Alexander of Vero Beach; son, Vic DiVenere of Long Island, N.Y.; step-daughter, Leila August of Sacramento, Calif.; step-son, Phil Alexander of Santa Rosa, Calif.; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made to the VNA Hospice Foundation, 1110 35th Lane, Vero Beach, FL 32960. SERVICES: There will be a closed memorial service July 8.
