<!-- FH = Crowell Brothers Peachtree Chapel Funeral Home -->Phillip Moore Lee, "Phil", 68, of Doraville, GA died Saturday, April 23, 2011. Phil was born in Roanoke, VA to Dorothy and Woody Lee. He moved with his family from Virginia to Rockledge, FL in 1956. After graduating from Cocoa High School, Phil attended Miami Dade College where he began his aviation career. In 1967, Phil entered the Army and began training as a helicopter pilot. Upon completion of this training, he was awarded the White Standard Instrument rating. He transitioned in to Chinook helicopter's which he piloted while serving in Vietnam. After being discharged from the Army in 1970, he moved to Atlanta and began a 36 year career as a charter pilot for Epps Aviation. Phil had a love for flying that never waned. He was happiest in the cockpit of an airplane. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dorothy and Woody Lee. He is survived by his former wife, Judy Lee of Gulfport, FL; son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Carrie Lee of Suwanee, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Sid Theus of Duluth, GA; seven grandchildren, Haley Kendall, Hayden Moore Lee, Holden Mitch Lee, Gracie Theus, Mollie Theus, Lucy Theus, and Jack Theus; brothers, Steve Lee (Faye) of Micro, NC, Mitch Lee (Missy) of Cocoa Beach, FL; sister, Teresa Aarts (Bryan) of Rockledge, FL; a special aunt, Nancy Cecil of Roanoke, VA; and uncle, Curt Moore of Rockledge, FL; lifelong friend, Victor Smith (Angie) of Roswell, GA; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. A celebration of Phil's life will be held on Friday, May 6th, at 6:00 p.m. at The 57th Fighter Group Restaurant, 3829 Clairmont Road, Atlanta, GA 30341.
