Phillip Dwayne Carter, 62, of Shepherdsville, died on Saturday, Aug. 16, 2014. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Hattie Pearl Carter. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Patty Carter; children, Kelly (Robert) Sperry and Chris (Beth) Carter; three grandchildren; siblings, Kelly (Georgia) Carter, Beverly (Rick) Mitchell-Person, Larry Carter and Pam (Mark) Cain. Funeral services were on Tuesday, Aug. 19, at Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home near Shepherdsville with burial in Brookland Cemetery.
