Peter Scott Matheson Sept. 14, 2012 SANFORD -- Peter Scott Matheson passed away peacefully on Sept. 14, 2012, after a courageous battle with lung cancer at Kennebunk Nursing Home. Peter was born on May 18, 1953, in Groton, Conn., the son of Ralph and Marjorie Matheson, both deceased. He is survived by his son Michael Matheson of Florida; brothers, James and wife Mary of North Berwick, David and companion Chris Desimone of Sanford, sister Nancy Leslie of Wells; and nieces and nephew, Anna and Meg Matheson, Eric Matheson and Sarah Nason. Peter had prearranged for his body to be donated to the University of New England Medical Studies. There will be no visiting hours or services. The family would like to thank all the staff at Kennebunk Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for the care and friendship they gave to Peter.
