VERNON -- Peter Michael Skibniowsky III, 52, of Fort Bridgman Road, died peacefully Tuesday morning, May 18, 2004, at his home surrounded by his family.He was born in Brattleboro on Feb. 8, 1952, the son of Peter and Beverly (Johnson) Skibniowsky, Jr.A lifelong resident of Vernon, he attended Vernon schools and was a 1970 graduate of Brattleboro Union High School. He went on to attend and graduate from Vermont Vo-Tech with an associate's degree in plumbing and electrical engineering.Mr. Skibniowsky was a licensed master plumber and electrician and was an accomplished sheet metal engineer. He was well known for his meticulous and unique metal fabrication skills in the plumbing and heating industry.For 27 years, he worked at Huestis Plumbing and Heating. He had also worked at White Mountain Freezer for three years.He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Brattleboro Aerie #2445.A quiet and unassuming man, he was known for humble and generous spirit and was always willing to help someone in need. He enjoyed metal art and sculpture, all facets of agriculture, gardening and hunting and fishing.He is survived by his mother, of Vernon, a son, Peter M. Skibniowsky IV, of Reno, Nev.; one sister, Sharon S. Zamora and her husband, Claude, of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; two brothers, Stephen P. Skibniowsky and his wife Jane, of West Chesterfield, N.H., and David Skibniowsky and his wife, Lori, of Vernon; a stepdaughter, Lisa Lamoureaux of Gilsum, N.H.; four stepsons, Ronnie, Randy, Ricky and Rusty Fish; and several nieces and nephews.In accordance with his wishes, services will be private at the convenience of his family.
