Obituary of Peter-M. Parker


Peter M. Parker, 66     GORHAM -- Peter M. Parker, 66, of Maple Drive, died Friday, Jan. 11, 2008, at a Portland hospital following a long illness.      He was born in Ft. Fairfield on Aug. 11, 1941, the son of Stephen ad Blanche Morang Parker. Peter was a graduate of South Portland High School and served in the U.S. Army with a tour in Viet Nam. Upon his return to the states he worked for the State of Maine as an energy auditor. He also worked in various machine shops from which he subsequently retired. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and building models of airplanes and boats. Peter was married for 20 years to Kathleen Babb who survives him. Peter turned his life over to AA four years ago on Dec. 21.      He was predeceased by his parents and brothers, Steven Parker and Donald Parker. In addition to his widow, survivors include his brothers, Linus Parker of Texas, Francis Parker of Liberty and James Parker of Old Orchard Beach, a sister, Mary Lou Groesbeck of South Hamilton, Mass.; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be private.
