Surviving in addition to his wife are stepmother, Ruth Smiley, of Oak Ridge, Tenn.; daughter, Laura Johnson, of Rochester, Minn.; son, David Johnson, of Oak Ridge, Tenn.; sister, Gwen Vorhees, of Nashville, Tenn.; and a stepbrother, John Paire, of Columbia, Md.
