Peter A. Whitten PLYMOUTH Peter A. Whitten, age 41, of Plymouth, died Sept. 3. He was a beloved son of the late Theodore B. and Marjorie (Perkins) Whitten; loving brother of Theodore B. Whitten Jr. of Plymouth, Sherrill Pratt and her husband Bruce of Plymouth, Suzanne Grant of Fitchburg and Charlene Whitfield of Plymouth. Also survived by many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews and many friends. Born in Plymouth, he was a graduate of Plymouth-Carver High School, Class of 1986. He worked in retail/ management, including Staples in Plymouth and the former Richs department store. He was a hardcore Patriots, Red Sox, Bruins and Celtics fan. He enjoyed cribbage and was a collector of Native American artifacts. He also enjoyed writing short stories and was a favorite uncle to all his nieces and nephews. Funeral service Tuesday, Sept. 8, at 10 a.m., in the Cartmell Funeral Home, 150 Court St., Plymouth, the Rev. Gary L. Marks officiating. Visiting hours Monday from 4-7 p.m. only. Burial in Vine Hills Cemetery, Plymouth. Memorial donations may be made to the Plymouth Boys and Girls Club, 9 Resnik Road, Plymouth, MA 02360.
