She was born to Waymon C. and Mattie Bell Alewine Marshall in Oconee County, South Carolina on December 14, 1938 and graduated from Lavonia High School, Lavonia, GA, in 1956. Peggy spent most of her life supporting her military family in both the United States and abroad and was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 138 in Port Tampa for 44 years. She was Baptist in faith. She is survived by her husband, William H. Martin of Tampa, FL; daughter and son-in-law, Pam and Todd Stetson of Tampa, FL; son-in-law, Michael F. Fordham of Fruitland Park, FL; and six grandchildren: Amanda G. Fordham Quinn (Asa), Lindsey R. Fordham, Shawn M. Fordham, Kelsey M. Stetson, Rebecca L. Fordham and Gordon W. Stetson. She was pre-deceased by her parents; sister, Dorothy Marshall and daughter, Teresa "Terri" L. Martin Fordham. Visitation will be held Sunday March 24, 2013 4-6pm and Service, officiated by Rev. Michael F. Fordham, will be held Monday 11am at the South Tampa Chapel. Peggy will always be re-membered for her love of family.
