Peggy is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Dr. Ralph Johnson, three daughters; Donna Miller of Charleston, SC, Deborah Johnson of Greer, SC and Becky James of Duncan, SC. Peggy's family joy was complete in her four wonderful grandchildren; Caitlin Joy McKendree (22) of Rochester, NY, Stephen Michael James (16) and Jared Michael James (14) of Duncan, SC and Jordan Wesley Miller (9) of Charleston, SC.Peggy's outer beauty was accentuated by her captivating, large brown eyes and a radiant smile that was exceeded only by her inner beauty. She was the epitome of the Proverbs 31:10 wife. Her spiritual gifts of faith, service, mercy and love were obvious to all that knew her. Her greatest gift was service to the Lord. Her most fulfilling moments were ministering to the poor and needy and defending the downtrodden. In 1997 following Ralph's retirement from Indiana University of PA the family moved to the Greenville, SC area. While Ralph worked at North Greenville University as Chair of the Sport Management Department and later as Dean of the College of Business and Sport Professions, Peggy began serving the University as a member of the NGU Women's Auxiliary Board. She cooked meals, provided toiletries and clothing for commuter students and helped raise funds for student scholarships. As members of Redemption World Outreach Center, Peggy and Ralph ministered to married couples in Couple's Discovery Weekend. She also founded the Andrews Ministry there, providing meals to sick, injured and post surgery members of the Church. Her leadership gifts were recognized by the church staff and she was appointed and served 7 years as an elder with her husband. Peggy also developed and implemented "Leading Ladies," a women's leadership development program. She trained the first group of women's leaders at RWOC who have since trained additional groups, resulting in hundreds of women successfully completing the year long program.Peggy will always be remembered as a servant of the Lord, a position in the Kingdom that she vocalized everyday on her automobile license plate that read: I AM HIS.
