EXETER - Pauline Nona (Scott) Williams, 87, died March 1, 2013, in North Hampton, after a period of failing health, surrounded by her loving family. She was born April 15, 1925, in Haverhill, Mass., daughter of the late Dr. Frank Joseph Scott and Honora Elizabeth (Nagle) Scott. Pauline grew up in Bradford, Mass., and was a graduate of Haverhill High School, class of 1943, and a graduate of UMass Lowell, class of 1947. Following her marriage, she and her husband lived in Newton Junction until 1961, when they built and moved into their house on Newfields Road in Exeter, where they lived ever since. Pauline was an elementary school teacher at the Hannah Dustin School and the Knipe School in Haverhill, Mass., and then at the North Hampton Elementary School in New Hampshire. In her youth, Pauline enjoyed ice skating and ballet. Later in life, she enjoyed cooking and gardening and was also a gifted artist. She was a communicant of St. Michael's Church in Exeter. She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, attorney Edward Ellsworth Williams of Exeter; son and daughter-in-law, Edward Scott Williams and Tracy Emerton Williams of N. Hampton; son, Peter Kenneth Williams of Exeter; and two grandchildren, Alexandra C. Williams of Cambridge, Mass., and Nathaniel J. Williams of N. Hampton. Pauline leaves three nieces and their families, Mary C. Wheeler of Amenia, N.Y., her husband Kevin and their two sons, James and Ayden, Sue Crumley of Fort Worth, Texas, her husband David, and their two children, Sarah and Scott, and Lisa Walsh of Tyler, Texas, her husband Steve, and their two children, Jennifer and Ryan. She was predeceased by her brother, Robert F. Scott of Fort Worth, Texas; and her sister Joan E. Manning of Mahopac, N.Y. . services: There are no calling hours. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday, May 11, at noon at St. Michael's Church, Exeter. Burial will follow in the Exeter Cemetery, Exeter. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Rockingham VNA & Hospice, 137 Epping Road, Exeter, 03833. Brewitt Funeral Home, 14 Pine St., Exeter is handling the arrangements.
