Miller, Pauline R. WEST SAND LAKE Pauline Ryemiller Miller, 84, of Route 43 died Saturday, June 5, 2010 at Van Rensselaer Manor, North Greenbush, after a long illness. Born in Troy, she was daughter of the late Charles J. Ryemiller Sr. and Magdaline Teal Ryemiller and wife for 67 years of Arthur S. Miller. She had resided in West Sand Lake all her life and was a graduate of Averill Park High School. Mrs. Miller worked for many years as a switchboard operator for the New York Telephone Company at the Sand Lake switchboard in Larkin's in Averill Park and later in the billing department in Menands. She was a member of the West Sand Lake Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary and a dispatcher for the Sand Lake Ambulance and West Sand Lake Fire Company for 13 years. She did the school census for Averill Park for many years, enjoyed traveling, camping for 25 years, fishing, boating and wintering in Myrtle Beach for 13 years. She and her husband traveled across Canada and to Flagstaff by train many years ago. Survivors in addition to her husband include a daughter, Sharon (Joseph) Lamondo of Delaware; a son, Edmund C. (Yvonne) Miller of West Sand Lake; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter, Jeannette Miller and a brother, Charles Ryemiller Jr. Funeral service will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Gilead Lutheran Church, Routes 7 and 278, Center Brunswick with Rev. James A. Hulihan, pastor, officiating. Relatives and friends may call at the DeGraaf-Bryce Funeral Home, Inc., 4392 Route 150, West Sand Lake on Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery, West Sand Lake.
