Mrs. Pauline Mary Silmarie (McDonald) June 26, 1917 - October 6, 2008 - SILMARIE (McDonald), Pauline Mary - 91, Dartmouth, formerly of Liverpool, Queens Co., passed away peacefully Monday, October 6, 2008, in Oakwood Terrace surrounded by her family. Born in Goffs, Halifax Co., on June 26, 1917, she was the eldest child of the late Sylvester and Cecilia (Miller) McDonald. Her greatest joys in life were her sons, grandsons, and great-grandchildren. She was a past member of I.O.D.E., Queens County Historical Society and St. Gregory's Ladies Guild while in Liverpool and a member of St. Thomas More's CWL in Dartmouth. She was an original member of St. Thomas More Parish. She is survived by her youngest son, Stephen (Debra) Graham, Dartmouth; daughter-in-law, Geraldine Graham, Antrim; sister, Marion (Alfred) Silmarie, Dartmouth; stepdaughter, Shirley Robertson, Brooklyn, Queens Co.; grandsons, Christopher (Easter Yassa) Graham, Edmonton, Alta.; Sean (Lynn) Graham, Fall River; Zavin Graham, Dartmouth; great-grandson, Lochlan Graham, and great-granddaughter, Autumn Graham; stepgrandson, Terry (Claire) Robertson, Yarmouth; and stepgranddaughter, Lauralee Robertson, Shelburne. She was predeceased by her first husband, Charles E. Graham; second husband, Una A. Silmarie; eldest son, Gary S. Graham and, recently, her brother, George J. McDonald. Cremation has taken place and visitation will be Wednesday, October 8, from 7-9 p.m. in Atlantic Funeral Home, 771 Main St., Dartmouth. A celebration of her life will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. Thursday, October 9, in St. Thomas More Parish, Caledonia Road, Dartmouth. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice. Special thanks to the staff at Oakwood Terrace, Unit B, for their constant care and attention.
