MOORE, Pauline (Lena) June 17, 1917 - March 5, 2011 Passed away peacefully in North Vancouver at the age of 93. Survived by her loving daughters Louise Beasley (Bill), Valerie Hayward (Bob), Kathy Bootle (Ian) and son Calvin Moore. Also survived by 9 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, many nephews, nieces, and other relatives. Predeceased in 2007 by her husband of 69 years, George Arthur (Art) Moore and her son Larrie (1982). Pauline was born and raised in Darlingford, Manitoba, moving with Art to British Columbia in the late 1930s. They were long-time residents of Burnaby where all their children were raised. A strong, caring matriarch, Pauline's family was her passion. She was active in her community and took much pleasure from her avid gardening skills. Over the years, Pauline openly welcomed all guests and family with wonderful meals and warm hospitality. Mom was a guiding light for all of us, a wise and loving person who will be greatly missed by all those close to her. The family appreciates the thoughtful care and attention given by the staff at the North Vancouver Kiwanis Care Centre. A memorial service will be held at the Boal Chapel (604-980-3451), 1505 Lillooet Road, North Vancouver, B.C. on Tuesday, March 15, 2011 at 2:00PM. A gathering of family and friends will follow after the service. In lieu of flowers, donations to the BC Childrens Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
