NASHUA - Pauline L. (Bazin) Mercier, of Nashua, passed away on Thursday, April 3, 2014 at St. Joseph Hospital.Pauline was born in Nashua on July 30, 1930, a daughter of the late Romeo and Josephine (Belcourt) Bazin. She was the beloved wife of Ernest Mercier of Nashua. Pauline and Ernest would have celebrated their 53rd wedding anniversary on June 10.Pauline had been employed as a registered nurse at St. Joseph Hospital for 35 years. Prior to her retirement, she had worked for the Nashua Medical Group for 10 years.Pauline enjoyed doing needlepoint, but her greatest joy came from taking care of her grandchildren.Pauline was predeceased by a son, Mark Mercier, on Jan. 23, 2014.Besides her husband, Pauline is survived by a daughter, Karen Vegliante and her husband, Fred, of Merrimack; four grandchildren, Matthew, Michelle, Amy and Andrea; two brothers, Robert Bazin and his wife, Marge, of Monroe Township, N.J., and Donald Bazin and his wife, Aline, of Lecanto, Fla.; also many nieces, nephews and cousins . SERVICES: Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, April 6, in the Anctil-Rochette & Son Funeral Home, 21 Kinsley St., Nashua, from 3 to 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, April 7, in Blessed John XXIII Parish at Infant Jesus, 121 Allds St., Nashua, at 9:30 a.m. Everyone is invited to meet at the church.
