Peters, Pauline A. EAST GREENBUSH Pauline A. Del Balso Peters, 72, died peacefully at The Community Hospice Inn at St. Peter's Hospital in Albany on Monday evening, January 28, 2013 surrounded by her loving family. She was a resident of Schodack for many years before moving to Pottersville in 2003. Born in Albany on August 13, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Marion Corellis Del Balso. A 1959 graduate of Philip Schuyler High School, Pauline worked for the Fuller Brush Co. as a payroll clerk from 1960 to 1964. Married in 1962 and raising her family, she served as postmaster of the East Schodack Post Office for 5 years. Pauline was the owner/operator of the Green Meadow Farms (tack & feed store) located in Schodack from 1970 until 2003. Pauline was a very religious person volunteering for the Word of Life Ministries in Schroon Lake and at the Priory of St. Benedict's Retreat House in Chestertown. In her younger years, she loved horses and while building her business became an avid horseback rider, trainer and barrel racer. She was a member of the Grafton Trail Riders. Survivors include her loving children, Michael (Elizabeth) Peters of Castleton, Beverly M. Peters of Albany, Kimberly M. (Frederick) Drischler of Nassau, Fred T. (Jamie) Peters III of Albany; her adoring grandchildren, Helena, Abigail and Michael Peters Jr., Rebecca and Frederick Drischler II, Victoria and Frederick T. Peters IV; and her sister, Joan Sangmaster of Rensselaer. Relatives and friends are invited to a Liturgy of Christian Death and Burial that will be celebrated at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, 125 Eagle St., Albany on Friday, February 1 at 6:30 p.m. Pauline's family will accept visitors at the church on Friday prior to the Mass from 4:30-6:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Priory of St. Benedict's Retreat House, 135 Priory Road, PO Box 336, Chestertown, NY 12817 or Community Hospice of Rensselaer County, 295 Valley View Blvd., Rensselaer, NY 12144.
