PAULSMITH, 77People's Bank LAKELAND - Mr. Paul Smith, age 77, died of cancer Tuesday (Oct. 23, 2007). Born in Sherwood, Tenn., on March 16, 1930, he came here from Salina, Kansas in 1965. He was a retired senior vice president at Peoples Bank. Paul was an Episcopalian, a member of the American Legion, and Elks. Paul retired from the U.S. Air Force as a master sergeant. He is survived by his wife Jeanette Smith, Lakeland; son, James George Smith, Shoreline, WA.; grandson, James Paul Smith, Tampa, FL.; granddaughter, Jennifer Young, Tampa; great granddaughters, Chloe Evenson, Marissa Young, both of Tampa; sister, Alberta Davis, Winchester, TN.; numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon Friday (10/26/07) at Lanier Funeral Home chapel. Services will follow at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Florida National Cemetery.
