Paul Smith, 87, passed away on April 17, 2012. Paul was born in Fayette County, Ala., and lived in the Birmingham area where he worked in the aircraft industry. He moved to St. Augustine in the early 60s to work for Fairchild Industries where he made many wonderful lifelong friends. Paul served in the U.S. Navy twice, serving in both World War II and the Korean War. He is survived by his daughter, Paula Allen (Fred); sons, Mike Smith (Marysue) and Wade Smith (Sorina); six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife Willene Smith.Watts Funeral Home of Palatka assisted the family.
