YORK, Penn. -- Paul S. Smith passed away suddenly on June 14, 2013, with his wife and family by his side.Paul was born in Buzzard Bay, Mass., on Sept 11,1960. He grew up in Northboro, Mass., and graduated from Algonquin R.H.S. After High School Paul served in the United States Navy and did tours of duty overseas as well as recuiting in Lowell, Mass. He retired as a Chief in the Navy Reserves. After the Navy and while in the reserves he moved to Maine. He worked for Dumont Management, Inc. He started working for Cianbro Corp. in 2002 and was a senior quality engineer for the past 11 years. He relocated to the Mid-Atlantic Regional Office in 2005 and moved his family to Pennsylvania. He was very dedicated to his job and loved the people he worked with.Paul enjoyed golfing, watching NASCAR as well as attending races. He was a New Englander through and through, with his passion for the Red Sox, the New England Patriots and the Boston Bruins. He loved working on his home doing home improvement projects. And lastly, he had an obsession with jeeps; he enjoyed going to jeep shows and mud runs.He is survived by his wife, Lisa J. ( Pushard) Smith, of York, Penn., formerly from the Augusta, Maine, area. His two boys, Devin Smith and Kyle Smith, both of Augusta, Maine. A son, Stephen Smith, of Topeka, Kansas, and a daughter, Heather Smith, of Clovis, New Mexico; five step-children, Matthew Toulouse, of Columbus, Georgia, Sarah Toulouse, of Augusta, Maine, Cory Toulouse, of Woodbridge, Va., David Hopper, of Vassalboro, Maine, and Zachary Hopper, of York, Penn. He was also survived by two grandchildren, Taegenne and Jaxon, of Clovis, New Mexico; four step-grandchildren, Joshua and Jordan Marston, of Pittston, Maine, Madison Toulouse, of Augusta, Maine, and Jayden Ashley, of Augusta, Maine; brothers, David and his wife, Peggy Smith, of Georgia, Edward and his wife, Gail Smith, of Northboro, Mass., LeRoy Smith Jr., of Pittston, Maine; three sisters, Patricia and her husband, Red Celoria, of Wells, Maine, Diane and her husband, Walter Bent, of Palermo, Maine, and Eileen and her husband, William Nelson, of Boylston, Mass. He had many nieces and nephews as well. He was predeceased by his parents, LeRoy H. and Bertha A. (Tucy) Smith, and his brother, Walter L. Smith; mother-in-law Joyce Jean, of Augusta, Maine, and father-in-law Paul Pushard, of Waterville, Maine; sister-in-law Jackie Carver and her husband, Wes; and brother-in-law Craig Pushard, of Winthrop, Maine.Services will take place at 2 p.m. on July 8, 2013, at the Maine Veteran's Cemetery on Mt. Vernon Road in Augusta. A memorial gathering will take place at 2 p.m. on Sunday July 14, 2013, in Northboro, Mass., at the gravesite of his parents and brother for the family.
