He had been a resident of Buncombe County for most of his life. Paul logged for 55 years and cleared all of Haw Creek Community before it was developed. He loved "driving" a horse. He is the son of the late, Carl Roberts and Stella Wheeler Roberts. Paul is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Ollie Roberts; daughters, Shirley Sprouse (Joe) of Weaverville and Thelma Hunter (Pat) of Hendersonville; son, Pearson Roberts (Tobie) of Asheville; sister, Betty Marie Buchanan of South Carolina; six grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.A Graveside Service will be held Friday, September 7, 2012 at 11:00 am in Mountain View Memorial Park with Reverend Donnie Freeman officiating.
